INSIDE
BLANC ATELIER

“Creators of spaces that inspire today and thrive tomorrow.”

Blanc Atelier is a Melbourne-based interior design studio specialising in Commercial, Hospitality, Retail, Workplace, Test-fits, De-fits, Spec Suites, Medical, and Education fit-outs.

We bring years of diverse expertise to every project, delivering high-impact, sustainability-conscious design solutions tailored to the needs of landlords, agents, tenants, and end users. Whether reimagining a workplace or shaping a new hospitality experience, we create spaces that are refined, purposeful, and ready to evolve.

The name Blanc Atelier reflects our ethos. Blanc, the French word for white symbolises both purity and possibility. Unlike other colours, white cannot be created by mixing others; it stands alone, unique. For us, each project begins as a ‘blanc’ canvas, an opportunity to create something distinctive, authentic, and meaningful. Atelier, meaning a designer’s studio or workshop, speaks to the craftsmanship, artistry, and care we bring to every detail.

As a boutique studio, we prioritise quality over quantity. You’ll have one dedicated point of contact throughout, ensuring clarity and consistency, while our expert team works collaboratively behind the scenes to balance creativity, budget, and functionality.

From concept to completion, we design interiors that not only inspire today but are built to thrive tomorrow.

MEET OUR DIRECTOR

Ildelin Kruger, AKA ‘Illy’ began her career at JPDC who specialised in 5-Star Hotels. However, finding the pace too slow, she was after more varied design opportunities and has since worked in the Commercial Interior Design sector.

Having worked in D&C businesses, Illy saw a disconnect between clients, builders & designers.

D&C models tend to allow the finer details to fall through the cracks, resulting in excessive revisions, variations and delays as the designers are often forced to work on the back-end with trades and builders making design decisions on site.

Illy started this studio to change that. Her goal? To stay closely connected to both the builders & clients, to be present throughout the journey, and to ensure no detail is overlooked from start to finish.

Whether you choose to use your own builders, or would like to work with one of our trusted builders, Illýs goal is to be there with you every step of the way.

WHY THE SHEEP?

Blanc atelier strives towards sustainable and ethical practices, materials, & furniture.

Just like wool being a sustainable material in our world, we too aim to create spaces that are conscious and intentional with it’s approach.

So if you see our little sheep on a project, you can know that this project took specific care and detail in it’s ethical design.
